How to care for your cotton gauze home textiles?

Proper care is essential to preserve the softness, colour and durability of your household linen. Sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, quilts and more, cotton gauze requires gentle care to remain beautifully soft and vibrant over time.

This practical guide walks you step by step through washing, drying and ironing your home textiles, helping you turn everyday care into a simple ritual of comfort and well being at home.

01 / SORTING AND WASHING

Carefully separate whites, colours and dark shades to preserve the brightness of your laundry. Before first use, we recommend a pre wash at 30–40°C, preferably inside out, to help relax the fibres. Fabric softener is not recommended, as it can clog the fibres and encourage pilling on cotton gauze.

02 / DRYING

To preserve the natural fibre and airy texture of cotton gauze, choose a moderate spin cycle (around 800 rpm) or, better still, air dry. A tumble dryer on a gentle cycle can be used: this will soften the fabric and restore the fluffiness of your household linen.

03 / NO IRONING REQUIRED

Naturally embossed, cotton gauze is designed to be used without ironing. If ironing is exceptionally necessary, do so gently, ideally with a damp cloth, to preserve the texture and authentic appearance of the fabric.

04 / STAINS

Treat stains with care: dab gently rather than rubbing to avoid damaging the delicacy and structure of the fabric. This method protects the cotton gauze and prolongs the durability of your linen. Rinse with cold water before machine washing if the stain is stubborn.
